Olivia Kate Biasin

b. 1996

Perth, Western Australia

Olivia Biasin is an emerging multi-disciplinary artist from Perth, Western Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from Curtin University having specialised in both painting and sculpture.

Biasin’s practice is concerned with consumer market capitalism and how aspiration, desire and societal expectations affect how we live and the objects we surround ourselves with.

The nature of procrastination and its conflict with the contemporary rat race is a key element explored, taking form through the creation of sculptural objects that aim to compartmentalise everyday items and tasks in an effort to streamline and save time.
